MAX3243: DIN status when Vcc=3.3V and 0V

Part Number: MAX3243

Hello expert,

My customer would like to check the status when Vcc=3.3V and 0V as below condition. May I know the status for it?

  • VCC=0V, FORCEOFF#=FORCEON=0V -> what is the status for DIN[1:3]?
  • VCC=3.3V, FORCEOFF#=FORCEON=3.3V -> what is the status for DIN[1:3]?

Best regards,

Ann Lien

  • Hi Ann,

    The electrical characteristics of the digital input pins will not change significantly based on device state (across supply voltage range, unpowered, or forceoffed).

    If this question was meant to refer to the driver outputs, these will be in a high-impedance state while unpowered or deactivated (FORCEOFF#=FORCEON=0V). While active (FORCEOFF#=FORCEON=Vcc), the outputs will be driven based on the state of their corresponding input pins. See Table 1 in the datasheet.

    Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
