Hello,
Was the board functioning at any point or this is a fresh board and initial usage?
Regards,
Amin
Hi Raymond,
Did you review the EVM user's guide?
I'm limited to that information as well so any advice would come from the same document.
Thanks and regards
Amin
Dear Amin,
you are not serious, are you?
With the document we initially send, we demonstrated what we have done with respect to the user's manual. Our question was if there is any information beyond the user's manual, that is needed to make it work.
If there really is nothing else to configure or how ever to do different, the only solution is that the board is broke.
As we just bought it from TI, please send working replacement.

Hello Raymond,
I did not see the report originally, apologies.
I'm not in charge of shipping so I can't help you with that. EVMs are tested internally before they're put in box stock, so this might perhaps be some setup issue that we need to dig further into.
I didn't see it in the report, but I'm assuming once power is connected to the EVM, there was some current, right? Device isn't total DOA.
We will review the report internally and get back to you.
Regards,
Amin
Hello Amin,
Thank you for asking. Eventhough we invested some time to provide a detailled reportd we missed out to measure power consumption. We just repeated the experiment: it's approx 10 mA.
As we measure stable power supply we assumed that to bei OK. Thus, the only reason for malfunction can be:
a. something wrong with configuration
b. something wrong with the input signal
c. broken device
Regarding configuration, there are nothing to do. Thus, nothing can be wrong, right?
To enable you to check on signals, we send our detailed report. From our point of view, everything should be fine. Also, because we see an image on a monitor. Additionally, the LMH1980 should be rather tolerant, anyhow.
Thus, if you find that at least one of the input signals documented to be OK, than the only solution to our problem is a broken device that needs to be exchanged.
We are open to any idea to make it work as is it, but I don't have any hope.
Thus, if you got no other Idea how to get it run, please provide a replacement part asap or explain what we need to do to receive one. We already lost more than one month on this topic.
Thank you for your support.
best regards, Raymond
Hi Raymond,
your analysis might be correct that the device is broken which can be cause by multiple factors.
I send you a friendship request that you can share your shipping address with me. I can send you replacement parts.
regards,
Julian
