TCA9517: Behavior above 85C?

Hello --
We have an application that operates at 85C. Normally we use the -Q1 automotive variant,
but lead time is now untenable.

There's plenty of margin for leakage and timing degradation, as long as there's not
a hard overtemp shutdown.

What is the expected behavior a few degrees above 85C?
How about for TCA9517A and TCA9617A?

JLC,

For these devices, we cannot guarantee electrical characteristics in the datasheet beyond the 85C that they were tested. However, there is no hard temperature shutdown, and no damage should occur in these devices until 125C junction temperature. What temperatures are you expecting in your application?

Hello Eric--

Thanks for the reply. We would not expect more than 90C, and that only briefly in the
heating to reach the controlled 85C.
It sounds like we should be OK with this, given our margins....

Yes, 90C should be absolutely fine to not damage the device.
