TPS25810: Is TPS25810 the right choice for this dock?

Part Number: TPS25810

As shown in attached picture: the original dock is very simple.

Now the dock would be modified for accessing Ethernet via an USB to Ethernet controller and being charged simultaneously. Is it possible to make it happen? Because I am worrying about that Android device is sourcing current when it is working with USB to Ethernet controller as a host, if there is current from charging adaptor/computer/tablet, will they be conflict? Any IC could solve this?

Hello,

The TPS25810 is intended for application that will only act as a Type-C Source DFP. If this is the use case for your dock, then you should be fine. However, if you want your dock to act as a Sink or a UFP, then you cannot se the TPS25810

Hello,

This dock will only supply 5V (from charging adatpor/computer/tablet) to an android device, and the android device could access inernet via a USB to Ethernent controller at the same time.
