Hi

Can DS90UB960-Q1 connect DS90UB933&DS90UB953 simultaneously?

Is DS90UB960 capable of time-sharing DS90UB933 and DS90UB953, or both?The data formats of 933 and 953 are different

    Hi Neal,

    The 960 is compatible with the 933 and the 953, but it does not have a time-sharing feature that allows it to operate in two different modes across different RX ports. The deserializer and its connected serializers all need to be configured to the same MODE, in order to match line rates and REFCLK configurations.

    The 960 and 953 are both able to be configured to either CSI-2 Mode or RAW Mode. But the 933 is only capable of 10-bit or 12-bit RAW mode. As a result, the 960, 953, and 933 all need to be set to the same RAW mode in order to run simultaneously in one setup. And when RAW mode data is received by the deserializer, it is then converted to CSI-2 Tx packets with assigned data type and virtual channel ID.
