DP83TD510E: 10BASE-T to 10BASE-T1L converter

Part Number: DP83TD510E

Hi All,

I need to create a converter, from 10BASE-T with an RJ45 connector, to then route this over a long single pair using 10BASE-T1 and the above Phy. At the other end, an identical unit then converts this back to RJ45. I have the following questions

1) The DP83TD510E datasheet recommends the Phys DP83822/DP83826 for this purpose, but they are globally out of stock. Would the PHY DP83848 be suitable, or else can anyone recommend a Phy that is both suitable and available?

2) I was planning on connecting the two Phys using the RMII as per figure 7-3 of the DP83TD510E datasheet. The datasheet lists the connections but doesn't really give any other considerations. Other than strapping the Phys to work using RMII, run at the same speed and full duplex, do I need to do anything else?

3) I'm waiting on technical support to give me an example schematic on how to use 10BASE-T1L using a single pair that is also carrying power, but this is taking a long time. Does anyone have an example schematic?

thanks,

Ed
