TPS25750: TPS25750 programming through FTDI FT4232HQ

Part Number: TPS25750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25713,

Hi,

I have been working with TPS25750 and BQ25713 and was able to program through the GUI with the EVM module programmer (TM4C123). But I would like to use a FT4232HQ chip.

Which I2C should be used to program with FTDI IC's, I2Cslave or I2Cmaster lines ?

  • You can program with the FTDI chip on the I2Cm interface for the TPS25750.  This will allow you to write directly to the serial EEPROM.

Make sure that you consider the power supply for the EEPROM during programming.  Frequently customers require that the type C cable be connected and 5V power provided to turn on LDO_3V3 to power the EEPROM during programming, but some customers add a jumper option to provide external power.  Either way will work, but just consider your system carefully.

    Regards,

    Chuck
