Hi team,

One of our customers needs to upgrade a handheld 3D scanner. Currently, the interface is a USB 3.0 port and a DC charging port.

The next release is planned to implement:

Only one type-C port is used. When the type-C connector is plugged into the type-c adapter, charge the scanner's internal battery with 12v-15v. When this type-C interface is plugged into a computer or tablet, it allows the scanner to transmit data as a USB device.

Could you by any chance recommend an IC to this customer to implement the above features

Hi Amy,

Since this application is supporting higher voltages of 12V-15V, a USB PD controller would likely be a good fit. I am moving this question to that forum.
