DS16F95QML-SP: Rad Hard Info Request

Part Number: DS16F95QML-SP

I am trying to determine the radiation ratings for the DS16F95QML-SP part. From the radiation reports, it is clear that it is rated for 300 kRads TID for the high dose rate. I was reading the ELDRS report, but I could not tell what the rating for ELDRS was (TID at low dose rate).

Additionally, I was looking at the SEE estimation document, but could not tell what the LET rating is for this part. Considering that this document provides estimations, I am also not sure if the part has a rating for SEE?

Finally, do you have any neutron displacement test data for this part?

  • Hello Radek,

TI rates the DS16F95QML-SP to 300 krad but does not specify dose rate.  Radiation Lot Acceptance Testing (RLAT) is performed on each lot to 300 krad at high dose rate (HDR).  It is a digital product and HDR testing is sufficient for non linear products per MIL-STD-883 Method 1019.

The low dose rate testing was performed by someone outside of TI to 30 krad, demonstrating no difference between HDR and LDR to that level.  See the references in the paper for more details.

TI has not performed heavy ion testing on the DS16F95QML-SP and does not have SEE ratings on the product.  That same paper does have some SEE test results.  Note that this is a pure bipolar product so SEL would be unexpected.
