TPS25750: Unique Addresses for ports?

Part Number: TPS25750

Hello TI Team,

I was reviewing the TPS25750 Host Interface Technical Reference Manual and noticed that some registers are unique to each port of the TPS25750D, for instance the Status register at address 0x1A.

Does this mean that the PPHV and PP5V ports have different I2C slave addresses? What would they be if we selected I2C address index #2 through the ADCx pins?

Thanks in advance!

Daniels

  • Daniels,

There is only one I2C address each of the TPS25750.  There are 4 unique I2C addresses available, so it is possible for 4 TPS25750 to be addressed via the same MCU.

The TRM shows individual ports because our host interface is very common between all of our power delivery controllers and some of them have 2 ports available.  The TPS25750 only has one port.

    Regards,

    Chuck
