Hi Arvin,
It doesn't report number of error, rather it allows you to set a threshold on when lock will be lost.
If error count is enabled Deserializer lose lock once error count reaches threshold if disabled Deserializer loose lock with one error.

Hi Charley:
1. How to recovery when lose lock?
2. Can we use I2c to access UB948 at this time?
Hi Arvin,
1. It depends on different factors. The 948 will always attempt to relock by increasing EQ values. If the link is lost due to physical issues like cable disconnect, recovery will require manual intervention. If the lose of lock is due to sudden interference, the 948 will try lock by itself. You can also reset the devices with a local MCU at the 948 side.
2. If the link is lost, you cannot access 948 through I2C master located at the serializer side.
Best Regards,
