In some older USB switch designs we have recommended having a discharge resistor in parallel with Vbus to slowly discharge the output cap/prevent a reverse voltage/current situation. Is this recommended for TPD4S214 and what value could be used for Vbus cap discharge that won't violate USB spec?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Dan,
TPD4S214 is just ESD protection device, we don't recommend a discharge resistor on VBUS. As far as I know, there is no specific discharge resistor for USB spec.
