My customer is using TUSB564 in their application and couldn't find the max operating current on the datasheet.

Hi James,

You can budget a max of 300 mA for this devices in its active mode (USB +DP alt mode, highest power consumption).

How to calculate the 800mW?

Since 300mA*3.3V about 660mW?

Hi James,

I believe you have a typo, 300mA * 3.3V = 990 mW. The 300 mA recommendation is to allow margin for additional pull-up resistors that may be used in the circuit. I expect TUSB564 to consume ~242mA (max) at its greatest power consumption level (3.3V * ~242mA = ~800mW).
