Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3DV642, HD3SS214, SN75DP126
hi,
Is there any IC available, which gives Display port and HDMI as outputs on two different buses by taking dual mode display pins as input. Is it possible to do so.

Hi,
You would need a hub that can support DP++ on both its upstream and downstream port. On one downstream port, you can then use DP139, DP149, DP158, or DP159 to convert from DP++ to HDMI.
Unfortunately, we do not have a hub solution.
Thanks
David
can you elaborate more about hub. I have a comX module which supports dual mode capable DDI port. Can i make use of any IC so that i get both HDMI and Displayport(not at the same time) from that dual mode display port. Does TS3DV642A0RUAR converts DP++ to DP and HDMI.
Hi,
The TS3DV642 is a passive MUX and does not covert from DP++ to DP or HDMI. If DP++ is on the TS3DV642 input, then you will have DP++ on the output as well.
The DP++ supports DP and HDMI (not at the same time) and depends on the status of CONFIG1 or Cable Adaptor Discovery. The cable adaptor (DP139) supports DP++ to HDMI. If CONFIG1 is above min 0.7*DP_PWR, then the cable adaptor is present and converts DP++ signal to HDMI. If CONFIG1 is below max 0.3*DP_PWR, then the cable adaptor is not present and DP++ will be DP.
If you want DP and HDMI output at the same time, then you can have a hub that has DP++ at its input, and simultaneous DP++ on the output.
Thanks
David
Hi,
Unfortunately we do not have active MUX solution. You can use DP141 or DP142 as the DP++ redriver, and HD3SS214 or TS3DV642 as the passive MUX.
Thanks
David
Hi,
The DP126 can only support up to DP1.2a and HDMI1.4b, will it meet your application need?
If yes, then you can use the DP126.
Thanks
David
yes, DP and HDMI versions meets my application , but temperature range of IC (0 C to +70 C) is not sufficient for my application. Is there any IC like this in industrial temperature range ( -40 C to +85 C) ?
Hi,
We do not have a part that can support temperature range from -40 to 85C.
Thanks
David
