Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who wants a 3D Models or measurements of EVM. Please see below of his query for your reference. Thank you very much.

Is it possible to get drawings or preferably 3D models of the TPS65981EVM, TPS65986EVM & DP-EXPANSION-EVM boards? We are incorporating them into a design and mechanical sizes would be very helpful.

If 3D models, a .STEP file will work. I don't need full details on all the components, just the overall package size with connector types & locations.

Hi Ray,

I will email you the schematics of the EVMs tomorrow where you will be able to look at the layout and see their measurement info. However, we do not support the DP_Expansion EVMs anymore unfortunately.

Hi Ray,

No I have not sent it yet, I am working with my team to get the schematics for the TPS65981 EVM. Once I find them I will send them to your email, I will try to get them to you by early next week. The TPS65986 is also NRND now so I don't think I will be able to send the EVM schematic for that device.

Is there a reason the customer is using the older PD devices? I would recommend for them to check out the TPS65987D.

Yes since this is an older device, I am waiting for my team to make sure I can send the correct EVM schematics. Have you been able to work with customer to guide them towards the TPS65987D?

Hi Hari,

Good Day. The customer just wants to know the measurement of the specific EVM because he wants to incorporate the TI's EVM into their design that's why they want to know the mechanical sizes or #D Models.

Hi Ray,

I think for our older devices such as the TPS65981/2/6 the measurements should be the same. I was able to find the pcb for one of the other EVMs and it looks like the size is 2000mils x 2000mils.I'll try to send the PCB to you.

Unfortunately, we do not have the same type of user's guide for this device and so the measurements are not on there. However, I was able to find the Altium board design with the measurements labeled and have sent it to you.
