Hi,

The datasheet and EVM has different schematic for the connection of RJ45. Could you please let me know which schematic is recommended? Or Can user use both?

Below is datasheet information: Adding 10nF(2kV) to PHY GND in RJ45 side

    Hi Nagata,

    The datasheet shows the connection to ground and the EVM shows the connection to ERTH_GND which would be the shield ground of the RJ45. In the schematic you'll also notice an RC network isolating the ERTH_GND from the PHY ground. This is to help improve the EMC/EMI performance. This isolation is optional, hence the datasheet just shows the same ground on both sides. The EVM shows the shield ground isolated from the PHY ground for this purpose.
