TUSB4020BI: ESD testing date share on TUSB4020

Hi Team,

we are working on TTU project. we would use our TUSB4020BI in our new design.

but for now, customer take much consideration on ESD testing. and they would like to check our ESD testing result.

is there any data or testing slides that could be shared to me? that would help me convince my customer to use our device.

ESD testing:

The contact experiment is ±9kV, and the air discharge is 16.5kV.

    Hi Brandon,

    We recommend external ESD protection with the TUSB4020BI.  ESD ratings for the hub silicon standalone are listed in the datasheet.  We recommend that the customer use a ESD protection device with Vrwm that matches the max range for the hub IO.
