LMH0397: Schematics Review

Hi,

I am using LMH0397RTVT in my design. I will be using same IC for SDI Cable Driver and Equalizer IC. Please review the schematics and let us know your feedbacks on the same.

I will be using 8 SDI Input and 8 SDI Output. So I will be utilizing all the 16 different address pins.SDI In & Out.pdf

Hi Shifali,

Please note some comments:

EQ Mode:

1) SDI_OUT is not used. Therefor please leave SDI_OUT_SEL pin 14 floating. In your schematic you are enabling this output.

2). Please note HPS_SCL_3V3 and HPS_SDA_3V3 need to be pulled to 3.3V through 2K to 5K ohm R.

CD Mode:

1). Noted you are using SDI_OUT and SDI_IO is floating. It would be better to use SDI_IO as output versus SDI_OUT. This is because to disable SDI_IO as output, we need to use SMBus interface. We should disable this output since it is not being used and it is enabled in default cable driver mode. You can use SDI_IO as output, leave SDI_OUT as NC(No Connection), and use SDI_OUT_SEL to disable SDI_OUT.

2). OUT0 - pin 22 and 23 - are not used. Please leave OUT0_SEL floating - this signal is enabled in your schematic.
