TUSB546A-DCI: Could SSTX/RX be opened if we don't need it?

Hi,

We want to achieve DP to type-C application so we are going to use TUSB546A.

However, the host doesn't support USB3.0.

Can we just leave SSTX/RX pin open and just rely on USB D+/- for traditional USB2.0 communication?
