Hi Team,

I understand that D17 is “Red LED that shows when there is an fault occurred TPD6S300A device”.

Currently, D17 is shining red on EVM and can’t output VBUS voltage.

Could you please let us know if you have any improvement plan?

Did you run a specific test causing the failing behavior?

Hi Adam-san,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

TPS65987EVM is source setting.

So, I supply power to EVM from AC adapter.

Initially, EVM was properly outputting VBUS=20V when connected Sink device.

However, EVM can’t output VBUS voltage (so VBUS is 0V) and D17 is shining.

By the way, if Type-C connector is OPEN (so don’t connected Sink device), D17 is shining.

Hi Hide,

It sounds like one of the tests you ran damaged the EVM if you no longer see the same behavior you did out of the box. I would recommend ordering a replacement device for the TPD6S300 device and rework the EVM with the new device.
