Hi,

In our custom application, we want to disconnect/connect the PCIe Gen2.0 interface signals between the SoC and the mPCIe slot.

Can we use TMUXHS4212 for both PCIe Gen2.0 Data (TX/RX pair) and for 100MHz PCIe reference clock as shown in the above image?

TMUXHS4212 can support PCIe Gen2 data and refclock signal.

Hi Brain,

Thanks for your reply.

1) Is TMUXS4212 or or HD3SS3212 tested with 100MHz PCIe ref clock? (As PCIe ref clocks are Differential HCSL output type, will this Mux switch have any impact on the clock lines?)

2) Can we use TMUXS4212 or or HD3SS3212 for both differential and singled ended signals as shown in the below image?

1: We have not test PCIe refclk with 3212 or 4212. Normally we recommend clock buffer for PCIe refclk like LMK00334.

2: 3212 and 4212 are recoommand for differential signal
