XIO2001: XIO2001 and DM642 PCI bus communication problem

Part Number: XIO2001

Hello,

PEX8112 was discontinued and replaced with XIO2001.
There is a problem with the PCI bus, so please contact us.
The connection structure of XIO2001 is used by connecting DM642 as shown in the figure below.

The problem is that I can't communicate with PCI BUS.
When writing data, the OS locks up.

The items to be checked are as follows and there is no problem.
1. Power on/off sequence
2. HW configuration (pull up or pull down)
3. Check Device Driver (Check DM642 Recognition)
4. Confirm write/read register of XIO2001

What should I check?

regards

  • Hi Kang,

Apologize for the delay since we were3 on holiday yesterday.

I would check every control signal to see if one of these control signals is at the wrong level or the pull up or down that you think are there indeed they are installed. You can also check power consumption to make sure device is drawing current and there is activity, . For example, please make sure PCIR is connected according to your system requirements. I have attached a document describing different points to review to see the potential causes for bridge not coming up.
