DS90UB948-Q1: Two questions needed support, thanks

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

Hello Team,

My customer is using our 948 in a designing project, here are two questions need your support.

1. In the eye diagram, it can be found that the rising edge and falling edge of the signal are longer than 1.2ns. I want to know if the LVDS output can increase the LVDS ICC current value? If possible, please advise how to set and use it.

2. The ESD test found a white noise flashed past the screen. It is suspected that LVDS signal transmission lost a few bit data when doing ESD test. Is there any good way to eliminate the white noise? Could adaptive equalizer solve this problem? If possible, please guide how to set and use it.

Thank you a lot!

BR,

Hans

  • Hi Hans,

Do you mean that the OLDI edges are longer then 1.2ns or the FPD-Link edges are longer than 1.2ns?

There is no way to adjust the OLDI output current.

To find the source of the white noise you can check if the error is happening in the FPD-Link interface or the OLDI interface by checking the LINK_ERROR_COUNT register.

    Regards,
