Is there a product that can replace MCP2515T-I/SO?

    Hi Yachne,

    Yes, both TCAN4550 and TCAN4551 can accomplish the basic functions offered by this device. Both CAN controllers feature CAN and CAN FD support with standard and extended IDs and remote frames. ID and data masks and filters are supported to reduce MCU overhead. Both of these TI devices also have a CAN transceiver integrated so no external IC is necessary (though TXD and RXD can be brought out to an external transceiver if desired). 

    Is there a particular feature of this competitor device that the customer needs? Or are the basic functions of a CAN FD controller sufficient for this replacement?
