DS90UB953A-Q1: Is it possible 12Bit RAW Image support

Hi Team.

I connected Image module using DS90UB953 + 954 Solution.

But Camera output image abnormal.

I asked Sensor FAE but there is no issue in image sensor register file.

Sensor setting : FHD_60fps_HDR_LFR_PWL12 (12bit)_MIPI1200

And while I test the 954 register setting, I found some description from 954 datasheet.

BIT1:0 seems to be register for selecting RAW bit. but I think 953 is not supported in RAW12 Bit.

I have questions.

To use 12bit raw image, We need to change Serializer ?

Or could you let me know where I need to test more?

Hi Kipyo,

Can you clarify what operational modes the 953/954 are strapped/programmed to; can you provide the schematics and/or register dumps for the 953/954?

I uploaded our schematic for 953, 954 board.

we use our own grabber board for image bring up.

Hi Kipyo,

It appears that the straps and registers are properly configured for CSI-2 synchronous mode.

If you're able, can you provide a full register dump of the 954; this will provide a better picture of any CSI errors, etc.

Hi Logan.

I changed sensor setting Mipi speed 1200Mps to 800 Mps.

The image is normal now.

I think we need to match sensor mipi speed and Serdes speed setting.

This issue is clear now.
