TUSB4041I: current draw vs TUSB4020I

Hi all

My customer is looking for a low power 2-or 4-port USB 2.0 Hub.

While looking at the current draw of the 2-port TUSB4020I they find this is significantly higher than for the 4-port TUSB4040I and they have this question:

Is this correct ? .... and what is the reason for this ?

Hello Ueli,

Yes, this is correct. The TUSB4041 and TUSB4020B are based off different hub generations. Additional power saving capabilities were enabled in the TUSB4041.
