DP83867IR: RGMII_TX/RGMII_RX skew is same as clock delay?

Part Number: DP83867IR

Hi team,

I have a question about RGMII_TX/RGMII_RX skew setting.

(1) Is RGMII TX CLOCK SKEW (Table 8)  and RGMII RX CLOCK SKEW (Table 9) same as RGMII Transmit Clock Delay and RGMII Receive Clock Delay in Table 48 respectively?

If they are different, please let me know the specific difference .

(2) In case the answer for (1) is same, when powering on with RGMII TX CLOCK SKEW=0ns following Table 8 with an external strap, will Address 0x0032 (continued) GMII_TX_CLK_DELAY be 0 (Table 40)?

(3) When powering with RGMII TX CLOCK SKEW=2.0ns (Table 8) with an external strap, will Address 0x0032 (continued) GMII_TX_CLK_DELAY be "1" (Table 40),
and address 0x0086 RGMII_TX_DELAY_CTRL=0111=2.0ns (Table 48)?

Regards,

Itoh

  • Hi Itoh,

For your first two questions, yes table 48 is a strap status register that will correspond to the strap settings (table 8 and table 9) that you have configured.

For your third question, you are also correct.

    Kind Regards,

    Joe
