TMDS181: Register that reflects the lock status of the CDR

My customer wants to use a LED to indicate the lock status of the CDR, but I did not find a register related to lock status.

We do not have a pin output that can be used to indicate the CDR lock status.

In addition to pin, do we have register bit could be used to indicate the CDR lock status? The customer could read it then control the LED.

Hi,

The TMDS181 does not have a CDR lock status bit.

They can read Page 1 Register 0x00. When TMDS181 is in retimer mode, the register will return a value of 0xC3. This will indicate PLL (not the CDR) has been locked.

To access Page 1, please write 0x01 to register 0xFF first.
