HI team,

i would like to know,

can customer remove the GND line and have no isolation if the cable length is only 1m in RS485? Please kindly share your expertise. Thanks.

    This depends not on the length of the cable, but on the actual difference of the two ground voltages.

    The THVD1450 can handle ±15 V differences, which is unlikely to happen for nearby devices.

    Are the two transceivers powered from different supplies? Is there a noise source (e.g., heavy machinery) only on one of the supplies?
