DP83848I: does it support both straight cable and crossover cable?

So for my first question, the user has to know the cable is straight or crossover and then configure the registers, right?

It's not possible that the device automatically change the registers when they detect(if it could be detected I don't know) the type of the cable, right?

Then for question 2, is it hard for them to do driver porting? Since I'm not familiar with software, do we have support for the driver porting from BU side?

Unfortunately, we don't support other operating systems.

We have seen other customers take the register writes and convert it into the OS they are using.

do we have recommended part number for the 50MHz oscillator connected to DP83848I?

I know that the datasheet table 7-2 gives the spec requirement, but I would like to know a part number that could be recommended.
