Joe - I looked at the datasheets and found that other than the Operating Temp and PCB Layout (to require the use of a Thermal pad when operating at a higher temp). I was not able to see any obvious differences. Would be great if you can confirm a) if there are any additional differences, b) what to watch out to allow for making the design interchangeable
Hi Bob,
I think the DP83848-EP will work for your design. If the thermal pad is left floating, the temperature range of the device will be the same as the DP83848C. This you will have to test because we haven't this tested internally.
There are no other feature differences that I am aware of.
