TMDXICE110: Recommended PHY Chip for development

We are developing a board with reference to TMDICE110 Dev Board for Ethercat and Profinet applications.

When referred to schematic of TMDICE110 - DP83822 is used as PHY chip. But, this chip is not available with any of the distributors.

So checked with other related boards - TMDSICE3359 (dev Board) - TLK110 (PHY chip) is used in schematic, but it is not recommended for newer design of board.

Could someone suggest whether TLK110 can be used or suggest any other PHY chip IC's for TMDICE110.

Hi Akash,

You may use the TLK110 for now, however we recommend you design your schematic such that it can be replaced with the DP83822 in the future.

This app note can be used to help convert hardware from the TLK110 to the DP83822:

The pin outs of TLK110and DP83822 doesnt match.

Is that ok to proceed forward.

Hi Akash,

My apologies for the confusion, you are correct that the pinouts of the TLK110 and DP83822 do not match. The app note I linked discusses a back-compatible pin-to-pin replacement between the 822 and TLK105, TLK106, TLK105L, or TLK106L. Are you able to use one of these PHYs or are you limited to just the TLK110?
