TPS25750: PD specification of TPS25750

Part Number: TPS25750

Dear Team,

Customers are currently using adapters for testing, using CYPRESS IC can be read, and successfully boosted to 20V.

 

Currently using our TPS25750 but unable to succeed, I would like to ask what is our PD specifications?

 

The PD specification of CYPRESS IC is (USB PD3.0 revision 2.0 version 1.3)

May I ask if there are other reasons why the boost can't be successful?

    Jimmy,

    We are compatible to the current specification which is the same as the Cypriss IC.

    I need to know more about the customer system to help debug the issue that they are seeing.

    Are they working with the EVM?

    Can you provide a block diagram or more details about what circuits are implemented in their system if it is not the EVM?

    Jimmy,

    The DRAWIN_PAD cannot be shorted to ground.  This is used to draw power out from the back to back FETS internal to the part and needs to be floated.  

    You also need to connect DRAIN_PAD, DRAIN_1, and DRAIN_2 together.

    I also suggest that you pull  /I2Cs_IRQ to LDO_3V3 through a 10Kohm resistor.

    When you make these changes, the part will function correctly.
