Hi,

The package Pinout different for the TPS65987DDK PN vs TPS65988DJ. Is there any configuration required when building the binary? It looks like the incl binaries are for both, so confirming our understanding is correct.

Also, would TI be able to do a quick design review? We are using this PD controller with Titan Ridge DD and our system is self powered.

all TBT support is provided through your FAE within an internal support system so that we do not share any proprietary information publicly. Please reach out through your FAE for more detailed support. They will be able to direct you to the support that you need for your design review.

A quick answer to your question is the DDJ and DDK versions of the IC are pin compatible, but not firmware/GUI compatible with each other. They have isolated implementations.

Let me try to support you as much as I can. This will be faster.

Can you tell me a little about your system?

Is it TBT only or USB4.0?

This will drive the selection between the DDJ and DDK version of the IC.

I have attached the xls file that we ask our FAE's to review with customers so that you can run through the first portion of the review to catch most common issues without me.
