DP83620: DP83620 support for Profinet

The DP83620 hasn't been tested with Profinet. We recommend using the DP83822 with Profinet.

Could you please help me to figure out what is the difference in the design of PHY for PROFINET from the normal ethernet applications?

Hi Shambu,

There are certain system level requirements for a PHY to be considered Profinet compatible. These haven't been tested on the 620 so we are unsure whether the device is Profinet compatible or not at this time. These tests have been completed for the 822 so we know this device is compatible.
