SN65DP141: About support Max. trace length for DP141...

Can you move the DP141 closer to the board output connector? I would put it 1 or 2 inch from the connector.

I am not sure if I understand your question, my recommendation in my previous response is to place the DP141 1or 2in from the eDP connector.

However, how about the Max. trace length from the input connector to DP141? 

Is it OK for DP141 since the trace is long!

Hi,

The insertion loss of the trace length between the input connector and the DP141 should not exceed the DP141 RX equalizer 15dB compensation range. 

But with this design, do you have control over the cable length on the input and output connector? While the DP141 can compensate the loss between the input connector and the GPU, the GPU and the sink need to compensate for the loss of both the input cable, the output cable, the 1-2 in trace between the DP141 and the output connector, and the loss of the output connector.

I notice this has a USB-C connector at its input, why not using the TUSB544 or TUS1044 for this design?

Customer just uses DP141 to handle HDMI signals, not USB data.
