TUSB8043: Slave address not available in I2C master mode

Dear Team,

My customer is looking at TUSB8043 as USB Hub with GPIO feature. They want to control peripheral devices from the USB Hub with GPIO etc.
Although the TUSB8043 can operate as I2C master mode, are there any Slave addresses which can not be used in the TUSB8043 application?
I think that the EEPROM at bus address 1010000b can not be used. Are there any others?

One more question;
How many ports which can be used as GPIO does the TUSB8043 have?
How to set GPIO up?

Hi Koshi,

The TUSB8043 does not have GPIO that can be set up to control devices outside of the pre-assigned functions on pins. The TUSB8043/A can be used as a HID endpoint to allow I2C programming updates via USB. How is the customer trying to control the devices from the hub?

Hi JMMN-san,

The customer wants to control a switch device from the USB Hub. By H/L GPIO output from the USB Hub, they assume to control a switch device.
Are there any good solutions for that?

We do not have a USB hub that has these kind of controllable outputs.
