Hi,

We could run the simulation just for the the serializer part.

And here is the snapshot of the waveform

We have received our boards and presently we are interfacing with FPGA to test a pattern.

Only question we have is regarding the scrambler.

Is it mandatory to scramble the data before the serializing ?

Hi Anil,

Per SMPTE specification data needs to be scrambled. So yes it is mandatory to scramble the data before serialization.

Hi Naseer,

We are using the xilinx SDI IP but we are unable to get the video out on the SDI.

In our previous project we have used the same IP but connected to Xilinx Transceiver and things are good.

Only difference here is that the LMH0340 is used instead of Xilinx transceiver.

I can share my simulation setup where we have simulated the complete path.

Please suggest

Hi Anil,

It is possible that we may not have a correct setup on the IP or the device. However, i cannot pin point what could be the root cause. We do have a Xilinx firmware description - developed by a 3rd party - which can help here. Please send me a friend request along with your company email address.

We already have the Xilinx project shared by you earlier. Send if this is different than previous

We are sure that the Timing is correct and Basically we need to debug in a right way.

Please flag if there is any issue in the schematic. We have verified all the values also

Thanks for the great support.

We got it working by reducing the jitter on the clock and some tweaks in the timings.
