TL16C752D: I2C/SMBus to UART receiver/transmitter

Hi,

I have a question about TL16C52D this part. I would like to check if TL16C52D can support I2C to UART receiver/transmitter.

If not, then does TI have the comparable part to NXP SC16IS752IBS for I2C/SMBus to UART receiver/transmitter? Thanks.

Hello,

The TL16C52D is not a comparable part to the SC16IS752IBS. It has no I2C interface. We actually have documentation on how to use an MSP430 as a bridge between an I2C device and a UART device. However, TRX does not have a UART device that can be controlled with I2C.
