Dear expert,
For 953+954 system, we need to assign SER_ALIAS_ID(0x5C) for 953. But for 941+948, there is no such kind of register. Why it that?
Thanks

Hi,
In the 941+948 system, you can use the SLAVE_ALIAS for the same purpose as the SER_ALIAS_ID in the 953+954 system.

Ben
Ben,
SLAVE_ALIAS is for external device attached to 953 or 948.
SER_ALIAS_ID is for 953 itself assuming I2C host is in 954 side.
But there is no SER_ALIAS_ID for 948 assuming I2C host is in 941 side.
Why is that?
Hi,
Since it is assumed the DES will be used with a SER, and the device address of the SER is determined in the 941 register 0x00, it is not necessary to have a dedicated SER_ALIAS_ID register, and therefore this register does not exist in the 948. Any needed alias ID can be programmed in the SLAVE_ALIAS registers.

Ben
