TUSB2077A: Individual port power control from host side

Part Number: TUSB2077A

Hello, we need to design a customized hub using this part and we wonder if we could get control of to the PWRONx pins from the host side manually. That means the possibility of turning off/on the power of each port.

The host OS is Linux. Maybe uhubctl utility will do the job?

Thank you.

  • Hi Manuel,

The hub will respond to the commands from the host including the set port power commands.  Typically generic USB hub drivers set all the ports to power on/off at the same time.  TI does not have any utilities that will allow the USB host to set the port power on/off individually.
