DS90UB953A-Q1: 3840x1080 @30fps (10bit RAW Format) support

Team, 

My customer is looking to use above part for 3840x1080 @30fps (10bit RAW Format). The datasheet does mention it can be used for a 4MP at 30fps, but we wanted to check if there are any restrictions on the resolutions supported in terms of lines and pixels.

What we want to make sure is that when the 953 says it supports 4MP, it is not expecting a certain pixels/line.  The “typical” 4MP camera is 2560x1440.  So can you confirm for us that the 953 will support the 3840x1080 window that we are trying to serialize?

    Hello Viktorija,

    The defining factor which you should focus on here is the CSI-2 lane speed/CSI-2 clock speed from the imager in this particular configuration. As long as it falls below 832Mbps/lane (416MHz CSI-2 clock), then it can be supported by 953A. The 953A does not have any line size or frame size requirement. It just matters what BW (data rate) you are trying to push through the FPD-Link pipeline. Based on high level estimate I would say this is likely to be easily within 953A's BW.
