DS16EV5110A: color depth

Dear Support,

I am at the design in of the DS16EV5110A for our ruggedized Monitors.

In the Datasheet the resolution is described with max 1080p and 8/10/12 bit color depth.

Are this 12 bit color depth per channel (RGB) or for all channel together?

Hi Martin,

All channels put together. Boost is at 825MHz meaning each lane can take close to 1.6Gbps.

Hi Martin,

It is equivalent to 1.5Gbps for each lane. So we should multiply number of bits per pixel times frame rate times 1.3 overhead(for blanking) and this should be less than 1.5Gbps.
