PCA9545A: I2C falling time is too fast

Part Number: PCA9545A

Hi team,

My customer is asking me on whether it will be problem for our device if the I2C falling time is too fast (4.65ns). If not, why do we have the spec listing in the datasheet. what's the concern? Please advised. Thanks!

Best Regards,

Leroy Song

  • Hi Leroy,

The fall time spec in the datasheet is from the I2C standard and is a system level spec, not a spec specifically for our device. Our device seeing a fast fall time will not cause issues as long as the fast fall time does not undershoot and go beyond the absolute maximum voltage we spec for our device.
