Hi,

My customer need assistance.

Problem description:

  1. DS90UB960-Q1 as deserializer on our PCB
  2. Camera use DS90UB953-Q1 as serializer, connect to PCB via FPDLink
  3. Dual DS90UB960 chip on PCB, Convenient to describe, called 960A and 960B
  4. Camera connect to 960A ,it work well
  5. Same camera connect to 960B, it cannot work, error log show discarding frame error info
  6. Further , read all 960A and 960B register compare; find some different in the 0xD3 register, which indicate AEQ status ,the normal 960 chip, 0xD3 register value from 0x02 to 0x09; the bad 960 chip,D3 register value from 0x2F to 0x3F.Does any problem with this?
  7. If not this point, what can we do nest to solve this problems.

    Hello Chong,

    how long is the used cable?

    do you have inline connectors? if yes, how many?

    While camera is connected to 960A, you said reg 0xD3 shows different values between 0x02 to 0x09. Are all these readings using same cable or different cables?

    What is the datarate you are using?
