Hi,

I am using TPS65988DH in my design.

How to read the UID?

Whether the UID is configurable?

If yes, how to configure it?

If No, whether the UID is different for Port 1 and Port 2?

Hi,

The UID is not configurable, it will be unique per port and to see the value, you will need to read register 0x05 of the device.

What is the specific use of this UID if this can only be read by an I2C host?

Hi Baghiya,

It's simply an identifier to know which specific PD controller it is, which is why it is unique for each device and port.
