I plan to change TUSB522P to TUSB1002A.
I know that these two devices can accommodate similar designs.
In that case, Is it okay if the positional relationship between IC and HOST and IC and receptacle is the same?

Since TUSB1002A is a linear redriver there is no transmitter equalization (de-emphasis). In this case TUSB100A can redriver 20 inches at RX1 and 6 inches at RX2. However USB Host will need to support 20 inches of loss at its receiver. You will need to refer to the USB Host design guide to understand if this is possible.
