TPS65988EVM: Issue in Debug mode entry

Hi,

We tried to enter into debug mode in the GUI.

When the FTDI board (Attached to the EVM) is connected. It gets polled and "CONNECTED" status is established in the GUI. But within 10 seconds, the status becomes "DISCONNECTED". But we are able to see the FTDI in the USB devices list of the PC. Only in the GUI debug mode, we are unable to detect it.

With the same FTDI board, we are able to flash the SPI.

Please tell us how to rectify this

Hi,

Have you tried to recycle the board power and get back in? If issue persist, we'd recommend that you use Total Phase Aardvark.

This TPS65988EVM has the Aardvark connector (J10) at the back.

Hi
We tried multiple power cycles still the issue persists.

Currently, we don't have Aardvark on hand.

Can you suggest any other way?

Hi,

Something is bad either the FTDI or the USB connection. You can try different cable, change the EVM or use Aardvark.

How about the other port, try changing the I2C address to 0x24.
