Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65994AE,
Hi Team,
We would like to control Mux by I2C like a I2C3m of TPS65994AE.
Is I2C3 of TPS65988DK the same function as I2C3m of TPS65994AE?

Hide,
The two parts have very similar control capabilities. They both support I2C events based on PD events.
The I2C Events between the two parts a very, very similar, but you will have to review the TRM for the 988DK because they are named differently and different ones are supported.

Hi Chuck-san,
Thank you for your response.
What does TRM mean?
I confirmed datasheet of TPS65988DK but I can’t I couldn't judge if " I2C3m " and " I2C3" are the same.
And, can TPS65988DK control TUSB1046(Mux) by I2C?
I guess that TPS65988DK can control Mux if I2C3 is I2C master.
Is my understanding correct?

Hide-san,
You can refer to this application note: Using I2C Master in TPS65987D and TPS65988 PD Controllers on how to perform the I2c control for the 988DK variant
I will have to review how to get you access to our secure site to gain more information. A lot of our documentation contains proprietary information that needs specific NDAs and other things to access.
Are you working with a FAE or sales engineer from TI?

Chuck
Hide-san,
The fastest way to help you will be through your FAE who can reach out to us directly and work with us to get you access to all of the information that you need.

Hide-san,
I believe that one of our FAE's reached out to me on this issue. Can you please confirm that this is the case so that I can close out this issue and move you into the appropriate support situation.

Chuck
