DP83TD510E: PoDL (2-Wise) Intrinsically Safe Application Note with Example Component Values

Part Number: DP83TD510E

Hi

We are designing a PoDL SPE (2-WISE) IS Ethernet Switch (PSE) for Hazardous Areas and it would help to have an application note on implementing PoDL with some suggested component values. For example, the 500uH inductors that are shown clamped with duplicate pairs of 0.8V diodes, what is the acceptable/expected DCR resistance of these inductors and size/package? We have the general design concept but want to ensure we match what was expected with regards to volts drop in the inductors etc.

Also for a SPE (2-WISE) Powered Device, PD (we will need to build one to test our PSE Switch), would the SPE line polarity bridge rectifier be a schottky low volts drop type? or does the 200m specification allow for 0.8V drop diodes? Does the 10BASE-T1L signal pass ok through the diode bridge or need signal bypass capacitors? Is there and example of a PD application 2-WISE circuit also, it would be useful?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ian
